Detection and Identification of Extractable Compounds from Polymers
Waters Xevo G2 QTof with MSE and the Atmospheric Pressure Gas Chromatography (APGC) Source allows elemental composition determination of compounds, such as extractables and leachables in pharmaceutical packaging products, that could not otherwise be identified.
In this application note, we describe a method to detect and identify unknown polymer extractables not found using conventional GC/MS techniques, and to apply the well-established QTof accurate mass measurement workflow to GC/MS analysis.
