What Steps Are Taken To Equilibrate A C18 Symmetry Column?
To equilibrate the column, use at least 10 column volumes of the mobile phase you wish to utilize. To avoid mobile phase buffers precipitating out on your column or in the system, flush the column with five column volumes of a water/organic solvent mixture using the same or less solvent concentration as in the intended buffered mobile phase.
